Fire and Arson Alert

Northamptonshire Emergency Services are appealing for residents to be aware of theirs or the actions of others in regards to the potential for fire taking hold during this hot and dry weather. There have been a number of unexplained fires over the last month or so. These may be inadvertently started by a discarded cigarette for instance however it would appear that some have been started deliberately. We have all seen the terrible consequences of the affect that fire can have particularly during the current dry spell.
Could parents be aware of what their children are up to over the school holidays and ensure that they are aware of the consequences of fire.

These fires have happened at various times of the day or night.
